Although Florida Governor Ron DeSantis hasn't said whether he'll challenge Donald Trump for the GOP presidential nomination in 2024, he said on Thursday that he wouldn't be Trump's running mate for vice president. (See the video below below.)

When asked by Newsmax's Eric Bolling if he would think about running for Trump, DeSantis responded:

"I believe I am more of an executive type of man. You want to be able to do things, in my opinion. That's one of the reasons I accepted this position—because there is activity here. We can do things, and I believe that's probably my strongest suit.

Republican favorites DeSantis and Trump have risen in the GOP campaign. Recently, hostilities between the two have gotten worse.

DeSantis irritated Trump by asserting that he would personally be unable to provide "hush money" to a "porn star." The remark was taken as a snide reference to the Stormy Daniels payoff scandal, which could result in an indictment of Trump.

Meanwhile, Trump responded by using a screenshot to circulate a false allegation that DeSantis had drunk with minors while working as a high school teacher. Trump has been dubbing the governor "Ron DeSanctimonious" and most recently added "Ron DeSoros" to his nicknames.
