According to information that surfaced on Wednesday, the grand jury in Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's case won't meet again for a month. Trump has previously stated that he anticipated being detained last week, but the deadline passed without any such event occurring.

The grand jury overseeing a case concerning the payment of hush money to Stormy Daniels was praised by the former president Donald Trump despite indications that it will not meet again for a month.

"I HAVE GAINED SUCH RESPECT FOR THIS GRAND JURY, & PERHAPS EVEN THE GRAND JURY SYSTEM AS A WHOLE," Trump wrote on Truth Social, in his now-consistent all capital letters style. "THE EVIDENCE IS SO OVERWHELMING IN MY FAVOR, & SO RIDICULOUSLY BAD FOR THE HIGHLY PARTISAN & HATEFUL DISTRICT ATTORNEY, THAT THE GRAND JURY IS SAYING, HOLD ON, WE ARE NOT A RUBBER STAMP, WHICH MOST GRAND JURIES ARE BRANDED AS BEING, WE ARE NOT GOING TO VOTE AGAINST A PREPONDERANCE OF EVIDENCE OR AGAINST LARGE NUMBERS OF LEGAL SCHOLARS ALL SAYING THERE IS NO CASE HERE."

"DROP THIS SICK WITCH HUNT, NOW!" he continued.

The case has been thoroughly examined by legal professionals, who have concluded that it is incredibly weak and that such a charge would support Trump's assertions of political persecution.

However the cause of the delay's precise nature is still unknown. Trump's comments increase concern that Burr may be having trouble getting the support of the grand jury in order to actually file charges against the former president.
