While many people with pessimism may think we’re doomed about Hillary Clinton being elected in 2016 and that there’s nothing we can do about it, I beg to differ. I try to be more optimistic, especially with vital candidates such as Ted Cruz and Rand Paul. In fact, here is a list of 5 solid reasons why Hillary Clinton can be beatable in 2016.
1) Hillary’s Polls Look Relatively Weak
Bloomberg conducted a poll regarding Democrat, Independent, and Republican views on Hillary’s email scandal, and some of the results may surprise you. The results below show the following.
Even 26 percent of Democrats believe she has purposefully withheld e-mails or deleted them. That number jumps to 60 percent for independents and 81 percent for Republicans.
Plus, Hillary’s favorability rating from the poll was under 50%, relatively low for a candidate just beginning their presidential campaign.
The e-mail controversy may be one of the factors depressing Clinton’s overall standing. Just 48 percent view her favorably, down four points since December and marking the first time her standing has fallen below 50 percent in Bloomberg polls dating to September 2009. Her high was 70 percent in December, 2012.
2) Rand Paul, GOP Catching Up In The Polls
According to the Quinnipiac University Swing State Poll from a week ago, GOP candidate Rand Paul was leading Hillary in some swing states. He has led Clinton by 44% to 41% and 43% to 42% in Colorado and Iowa, respectively. However, it isn’t just Rand making some large grounds, according to pollster Peter Brown, who says “It isn’t just one or two Republicans who are stepping up; it’s virtually the entire GOP field that is running better against her.”
3) Her Record Of Endless Lies May Very Well Backfire
Let’s face it. Hillary has lied on numerous issues, despite the fact she denies all of it. First, it was her Benghazi cover up that led to the deaths of four innocent Americans. Then, it was her email scandal, which she used a personal account when she was Secretary of State. Now, when she claims she’s running a presidential campaign with a theme of working for the middle class, she is anything but supportive of the middle class. While the entire mainstream media worships her, including making a national issue out of her dining at a Chipotle restaurant, it turns out Clinton did not leave any tip, according to the manager. That sounds pretty hypocritical for someone proclaiming to be supportive of the middle class. As mentioned above, Hillary’s lack of trustworthiness, especially with the email scandal, is putting doubt in the minds of many Democrats as to whether they want to support her for 2016.
4) She Flip Flops On Issues
Speaking of trustworthiness, I believe one of the biggest ways for a politician to lose trust from their constituents is when they flip flop on many issues. This goes to define a candidate as someone who will not stand on principle and instead just say whatever is politically motivating to win an election. With regards to same sex marriage, Hillary seems like she can’t make up her mind. In the 1990’s, she infamously declared her support for traditional marriage. Then in June 2014, she claimed “So for me, marriage has always been a matter left to the states.”
On Tuesday, a spokesperson for Clinton said that she now thinks same-sex marriage should be a constitutional right, granted by the Supreme Court. In other words, Hillary is pretty much saying that the 10th Amendment regarding state powers do not matter to her, and that no state should legally have the right to impose a ban on same-sex marriage. It is not even June 2015 yet, marking less than a year that she has already contradicted herself once again on this issue.
5) Sexism Claims May Backfire
The claim from liberals that one must be sexist if they oppose Hillary Clinton always existed, but this idea has especially increased ever since Rand Paul stood up against a female reporter during one of his interviews a week ago.
Just like the idea with a so-called “War on Women”, in which it has backfired on Democrats, I too believe that the tactic of calling everyone who opposes Hillary Clinton as “sexist” will also backfire. Americans are just hungry to bring America back to its prosperity. They’re so sick and tired of the left playing politics based on race and gender, and just want the common sense solutions to get jobs and the economy back. It isn’t that people are so opposed to a woman being president, they’re just opposed to a woman like Hillary Clinton, whose wicked ideology of big government, would continue to destroy this country. The fact is we don’t care if the next president is a man or woman, but care if the next president is a conservative who believes in the Constitution and limited government.
Nobody said defeating Hillary in 2016 would be easy, but these 5 vital points can hopefully give you some reassurance to persevere and not grow in despair. Let’s work together to pick the best GOP candidate who is a true, solid conservative, who loves the Constitution, and give us American patriots hope for this great country once again.
