After Walking Dead Successful Shocking Premiere, The Content Police Are Out In Force!

The Parents Television Council are up in arms over the Walking Dead successful gory season premiere and was probably one of the most shocking episodes of the entire series. Main characters Glenn and Abraham were killed in a brutal fashion, and now the TV police are not happy because of what was viewed.

Sorry my friends, but this was coming sooner or later. Most say that Glenn’s death followed the comic book to the letter. Everyone that knew the story saw what was coming. Everyone knew that Negan was going to take a bat and bash someone’s head in and it was going to be very graphic. Now why are people getting upset?

From Fox News:

“Walking Dead” fans could not stop talking about the shocking Season 7 premiere, and they weren’t the only ones.

The gory premiere set social media abuzz, but it also drew the attention of The Parents Television Council, which called the episode “one of the most graphically violent shows we’ve ever seen on television.”

“The Walking Dead” airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC. The Parents Television Council believes the episode went too far.

“They’ve entered a whole new territory regarding the violence,” said Melissa Henson, program director for the Parents Television Council. “In the past, we’ve seen zombie on human violence or human on zombie violence but this kind of violence to this extreme is… a whole new category.”

Parents Television Council President Tim Winter said changes need to made.

“It’s not enough to ‘change the channel,’ as some people like to advocate, because cable subscribers — regardless of whether they want AMC or watch its programming — are still forced to subsidize violent content,” he stated in a press release sent to FOX411. “This brutally explicit show is a powerful demonstration of why families should have greater control over the TV networks they purchase from their cable and satellite providers.”

You mean to tell me a TV show involving zombies and people getting torn to pieces that is prefaced with a graphic content warning at the beginning and after every commercial is not meant for kids, No way.

Parents need to actually do this one weird thing, it’s called “parenting”. It’s where your kids aren’t exposed to things they aren’t ready for because you, the “parent” are involved in their lives and set boundaries. It’s called The Walking Dead

It’s called The Walking Dead, and it’s based off a comic book. Read the book, look at the pictures and wake up. By the way, before these scenes happened, there was a disclaimer:

“This program contains violent content, strong language and sexual situations which may be too intense for some viewers.

Viewers discretion is advised.”

I guess parents didn’t believe it.
