Amy Lindsay on Ted Cruz pulling web ad: “politics as usual, It was done in a snap moment”

Senator Ted Cruz who approved of the “Conservatives Anonymous” pulled it down within a day after going public because he found that one of the actresses had a history in late night soft porn. Her name was Amy Lindsay.

Lindsay is now a conservative who is supporting the Republican nominee against the Democrats. She said it was all a gig to her and she was shooting a commercial but she didn’t know who it was for. She also said she believed in everything she was saying and it was real, from the heart.

From Mediaite:

Host Jake Tapper asked about the Cruz campaign distancing themselves from her as they try to win the largely evangelical state of South Carolina. “Is that is unchristian for them to have done?” Tapper asked.

“I don’t think it’s unchristian. I think this is politics as usual,” she said. “It was done in a snap moment. Someone has got to make a decision and sometimes it’s just better to take it down.”

Lindsay said that Cruz was still in the running for her vote. “I was speaking from the heart.. I did believe in the message and I put it out there.

“I have no ill will towards Ted Cruz right now,” she said. “He had a job to do, and I’m a middle-class working girl and I had a job to do.”

Should Cruz have pulled the ad or left it up? Share your comments below and let us know what you think.
