On Thursday, the Washington Supreme Court has ruled against a Christian florist for not serving a gay couple’s wedding, which goes against her religious beliefs.
Barronelle Stutzman is a 72-year-old Christian who owns a flower shop in Washington state.
Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) has more details shown below.
Barronelle Stutzman, the sole owner of Arlene’s Flowers in Richland, Wash., has for her entire career served and employed people who identify as homosexual. Despite this, the American Civil Liberties Union and the Washington attorney general allege that she is guilty of unlawful discrimination because she acted consistent with her faith and declined to use her creative skills to beautify the same-sex ceremony of a long-time customer, Robert Ingersoll, and another man, Curt Freed.
The court claimed she showed “discrimination” toward this couple in their ruling. Here is a section of their conclusion.
The State of Washington bars discrimination in public accommodations on the basis of sexual orientation. Discrimination based on same-sex marriage constitutes discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation. We therefore hold that the conduct for which Stutzman was cited and fined in this case-refusing her commercially marketed wedding floral services to Ingersoll and Freed because theirs would be a same-sex wedding-constitutes sexual orientation discrimination under the WLAD.
It is another blow to religious freedom and First Amendment rights. This liberal court is biased and obviously hates the Constitution.
Leftist bigot Attorney General of Washington Bob Ferguson bragged about his little victory on Twitter.
"Today's unanimous Arlene's Flowers decision is a resounding victory for equality." -BF https://t.co/NnMLkztyiP

In a youtube video ADF provides, she is at risk of losing a lot if she does not follow the court’s order, including “her business, her retirement, her savings, and even her home.”
Stutzman shares her frustration with the government.
When the government can come in and tell you what to do, what to create, what to think, what to believe, then we do not live in a free America.
Senator Ted Cruz shared a tweet in solidarity with Stutzman.
Praying for Barronelle today, as activist courts continue to undermine conscience, free speech, & religious liberty. https://t.co/qVN3fA4or3

To show support, a hashtag called #JusticeForBarronelle is also trending on Twitter.
She says she plans to take this to the U.S. Supreme Court, which can hopefully overturn this horrible ruling.
