BEHNA: OPRAH VS. TRUMP? Oprah Winfrey May Consider Running For President In 2020

On Wednesday, Oprah Winfrey implied she could run for president in 2020 during an episode of “The David Rubenstein Show” from Bloomberg TV.

Due to her popularity and never having a woman president yet, Rubenstein asked if Oprah considered running.

Here was her response.

“I never considered the question even a possibility. I just thought oh, oh.”

Rubenstein mentions she didn’t need government experience like Trump.

“That’s what I thought. And now I’m thinking oh, oh.”

The full clip provided by Bloomberg is below.

While it did not sound like much, many other media outlets believed it was a hint she could run in 2020.

Apparently, Matt Drudge on Twitter would love to see Trump face Oprah, saying it would be “The most epic race in American history.”

Like Trump, Oprah has a lot of power, influence, and money. I don’t believe she will end up running, but anything is possible.

Previously, she endorsed Barack Obama and most recently Hillary Clinton in 2016. In an interview with ET, she made the following remark.

“Regardless of your politics, it’s a seminal moment for women. What this says is, there is no ceiling, that ceiling just went boom. It says anything is possible when you can be leader of the free world.”

Other Twitter users reacted to the potential matchup.

It would be interesting if they did face each other. Both are powerful billionaires with no public office experience.
