BEHNA: Senator Tom Udall Wants Garland And Gorsuch Voted For Supreme Court Simultaneously

The Washington Examiner reported that Democrat U.S. Senator Tom Udall suggested on Monday to have Judges Merrick Garland and Neil Gorsuch voted to the Supreme Court simultaneously when another vacancy is available.

It is clearly in response to Republicans standing their ground and not giving Garland a hearing, something Democrats claimed was unfair.

After meeting with Garland on Monday, Udall explains how his theory would work.

He admits it was nothing concrete, but just an idea.

However, it is clear that Trump will be able to nominate at least one or two more judges to the Supreme Court in his first term.

It was at CPAC this year when U.S. Senator Ted Cruz suggested that another vacancy might open this summer.

But when it comes to Udall’s request, there is no way the president would ever do that. Garland’s only chance to the Supreme Court was during Barack Obama’s administration.

Any hope for Garland is nothing but wishful thinking. They can claim Republicans stole the seat all they want, but it is all fair game.

The fact is Gorsuch will be on the Supreme Court, no matter how much Democrats push back.
