Breaking: 3 More GOP Candidates Expected to Join 2016 Presidential Race This Week

This week, 3 more Republican candidates are expected to make their announcement on running for President this week. They are Ben Carson, a world-renowned brain surgeon who is expected to make his announcement on Monday, Carly Fiorina, former Hewlett-Packard CEO, and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee.

Ben Carson’s Strengths:

-He is one of the world’s top brain surgeons, proving he has a lot of intelligence and common sense.

-His inspirational story on becoming successful, despite being raised by a single mother with little money, can resonate well with the average citizen who believes in the American dream.

Ben Carson’s Weaknesses:

-Not ever holding political office may be a turnoff to some voters who believe that political experience is a necessity.

-Some have criticized Ben Carson for his stance on gun control. In 2013, he told Glenn Beck that there should be limits on gun ownership in large cities. However, in 2014, he did rebuke his previous comment, calling it ‘inartful’ when he was interviewed by conservative talk show host Dana Loesch.

Carly Fiorina’s Strengths:

-A former CEO who has the business experiences many Americans want in a candidate.

-Can potentially win the women vote, and prove that the “War on Women” is a hoax, and nothing more than a liberal tactic.

Carly Fiorina’s Weaknesses:

-Needs more name recognition, although she will get some more as her campaign continues.

-Liberal media will try to attack her the same way they attacked Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann.

Mike Huckabee’s Strengths:

-A former governor who has plenty of administrative experience.

-His 2008 Presidential campaign may give him some experience for 2016.

Mike Huckabee’s Weaknesses:

-Has been criticized for supposedly supporting Common Core.

-His previous attempt at running in 2008 can also hurt him because many citizens also like new candidates as well. Presidents in recent years have been elected on their first campaign for the highest office.
