British PM Cameron: Trump deserves our respect

British Prime Minister David Cameron was asked what do you think about Donald Trump becoming the presumptive nominee for the GOP scenes he said everything just right short of an apology for statements he made a couple of months ago.

Cameron is still not happy with Trump saying he wanted to temporarily ban Muslims entering the United States until Congress figure how to fix the problem of terrorists entering our nation to do our citizens harm.

From SkyNews:

Asked if he would apologise for the remarks, made earlier this year in the House of Commons, Mr Cameron told a joint news conference with Japanese PM Shinzo Abe: “It is a matter for voters of the US who they choose as their next president.

“I have to say that knowing the gruelling nature of the primaries and what you have to go through, anyone who makes it through that extraordinary contest to lead their party into a general election certainly deserves our respect.”

But the PM went on to say: “[On] what I said about Muslims – I won’t change that view,  I don’t change that view.

“I’m very clear that the policy idea that was put forward was wrong is wrong and will remain wrong.”

Trump is expected to visit the UK after the GOP convention when he officially accepts the party’s nomination to represent them against the Democratic nominee in the fall.

What do you think about Cameron’s statement and do you think Trump should stick with his temporary ban on Muslim policy or should he pivot? Share your opinions and answers below in the comment section.
