Bill Cosby finally broke his silence on the dozens of rape allegations lobbied against him and many are confused on whatever points he was trying to make.
The Black Belt Foundation invited Cosby to promote his work raising awareness for underfunded schools and told Linsey Davis that the allegations against him shouldn’t make children question his wisdom.
“I think that many of them say, ‘Well you’re a hypocrite,” he argued. “My point is, ‘OK, listen to me carefully, I’m telling you where the road is out. I’m telling you where as you’re driving you’re going to go into water and it looks like it may only be three inches but you and your car are going to go here. Now, you want to go here or you want to be concerned about who’s giving you the message?’”
As for the allegations themselves, Cosby said he was confused. “I have been in this business over 52 years and I have never seen anything like this. And reality is the situation. And I can’t speak.”
I really don’t know what to think about the accusations. They are from so long ago; some have been made by unreliable sources; and Cosby is a target. Having said that, I can’t totally discount them, and Cos did himself no favors with this interview.
Twitter went after the Cos with no sympathy. Check out these tweets!
