GOP Presidential candidate Ben Carson recently appeared on “Fox News Sunday” with Chris Wallace to address a wide range of issues, including the Iran deal and Barack Obama’s current support for Israel.
It was a very legit question until it seemed as if Wallace was trying to force Carson to call Obama an Anti-Semitic which is really nothing, especially with all the words Obama gets called on social media. But this seemed to really tug at me as if Wallace had an agenda.
Here is the transcript and then watch the video below:
WALLACE: “You call the president the Divider-in-Chief. And you write this, shockingly, his diatribe also was replete with coded innuendos employing standard anti-Semitic themes involving implied disloyalty and nefarious influences related to money and power.
WALLACE: Question, Barack Obama, anti-Semitic?”
CARSON: “All you have to do Chris like I have is go to Israel and talk to average people, you know all ends of that spectrum. And I could not find a single person there who didn’t feel that this administration have turned their back on Israel.
CARSON: And I think that the position of President of the United States should be where you begin draw people together behind a vision, not one where you castigate people those who believe differently than you…
CARSON: I think anything is anti-Semitic that is against the survival of a state that is surrounded by enemies and people who want to destroy them. And to sort of ignore that and act like everything is normal there and that these people are paranoid, I guess that’s anti-Semitic.”
When I watched this, I said to myself, my return question would have done you think his actions toward the state of Israel could be seen as Anti-Semitic.
Following the first presidential primary debate, Carson has seen a massive surge in polls. He is currently second to only Donald Trump.
