After last night’s GOP debate, Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin, who claims to be conservative, wasted no time saying Ted Cruz was one of the “losers” of the debate and even compared him to Hillary Clinton in her latest attack piece. She writes:
He seems to think simply declaring he’ll destroy the Islamic State is sufficient. In that regard he is not unlike Hillary Clinton — brimming with empty rhetoric in search of a policy.
Not just in her article, but she also took to Twitter, making the dishonest comparison.
Cruz keeps say he's be toughest, but Cruz's policies are really similar to Clinton

She didn’t end there though.
In a glaring error, Cruz called for an “America first” foreign policy, a throw back to 1930s isolationism.
Rubin, who is a big Rubio supporter, is following the same attack used by Marco Rubio and Lindsey Graham by claiming Cruz is an isolationist.
But in a press release from June, Cruz mentioned how the 2016 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) he supported actually strengthened national security.
“The 2016 NDAA will increase the military readiness and capabilities of the United States without increasing spending on programs entirely unrelated to our national defense”, according to Cruz.
And in the debate, he included more specifics when responding to Rubio on the USA Freedom Act.
What he knows, is that the old program covered 20 percent to 30 percent of phone numbers to search for terrorists. The new program covers nearly 100 percent. That gives us greater ability to stop acts of terrorism, and he knows that that’s the case.
We know moderates like Rubin who pose as conservatives attack Cruz because they’re scared and cannot defeat him on substance, so they resort to typical lies and distortions.
