Cummings to IRS Shulman: Your excuses for not informing congress of targeting ‘not good enough’

Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD), the Ranking Member on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, tore into former Internal Revenue Service Commissioner Douglas Shulman on Wednesday during hearings into the revelation that the IRS had targeted conservative groups with undue scrutiny. Cummings insisted that Shulman’s excuses for not informing the congress of the targeting when he was made aware of it were “not good enough.”
