DeNiro Changes Direction On Trump; Can’t Believe This Is The Same Man!

Last night, I gave my opinion about actor Tom Hanks who gave a unity speech among his peers about believing in hope for the Trump presidency. Hanks thought that America would survive all of this crap we are seeing and working together was the best option going forward.

Now the man who wanted to punch President-Elect Donald Trump in the face has changed his tune. I am not sure whether or not it had something to do with being awarded the Medal of Freedom from Barack Obama today or not, but Robert DeNiro wants to see what Trump is going to do as a leader.

I am not going to say I am going out to watch his movies anytime soon. I don’t care what he thinks in a manner of speaking. I did think giving this information to you readers would peak your interests as to what he said and how he said it.

From The Hill:

Robert De Niro is striking a more diplomatic tone regarding President-elect Donald Trump, whom he previously said he’d like to “punch … in the face.”

“I would only say that we’re all hoping, waiting and hoping, that he will lead the country in a way that’ll benefit everyone and benefit our neighbors around the world,” De Niro told ITK on Tuesday when asked what message he’d want to share with Trump.

“That’s all,” the “Godfather Part II” star said.

“We’re waiting and hoping, and we’ll see.”

ITK caught up with the 73-year-old Academy Award winner, one of several icons to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom at the White House on Tuesday. The award is the country’s highest civilian honor.

De Niro has previously called Trump “blatantly stupid,” a “pig” and a “bullshit artist.” He said Tuesday his “punch” comment – made in a videoreleased last month – was “more symbolic.”

“After he said the things that he said, anybody would want to punch him in the face,” De Niro told reporters. “Many people told me, ‘You said what I’d want to say.’ It’s just unacceptable to say those things in the situations that he said them in.”

De Niro added, “Now he’s president-elect and I just want to see what he’s going to do.”

Do I trust DeNiro? No way! Do I care about DeNiro’s political views? Hell No! Will I take this with a grain of salt? Yes, probably. But I can also be unified with my eyes open and my BS alert fully operational, how about you?
