This is everything that is wrong with modern day feminists. Attention seeking for all the wrong reasons.
Members of a Spanish performance group called Sangre Menstrual wore white bottoms stained with blood at their “performance” in support of the “Manifesto for the Visibility of the Period.” The group was seeking to bring attention to – you guessed it – a woman’s menstrual cycle because they believe that by “attempting to hide our periods, a perfectly natural bodily function, we are participating in the patriarchal system and effectively punishing ourselves for being women.”
To view the photo book the group put together, click here. Fair warning, the photos are gross.
The “Manifesto for the Visibility of the Period” reads, “I stain [my pants], and it doesn’t make me sick. I stain [my pants] and I don’t find it disgusting”. It goes on to say that the performance was intended to create, “larger debates surrounding reproduction and the female body”..
Real feminism is about equality, the type of equality being fought for by women like Malala Yousafzai. These woman are nothing more than attention seekers with a misguided cause.
