Donald Trump raises $11M in 48 Hours; Talk To The Hand!

Many of the news networks are probably questioning how Donald Trump raised $11M in 48 hours. Remember, Trump has billionaire friends who want to give, Hillary’s friends keep dying unexpectantly.

Meanwhile, back at Clinton Campaign HQ, there are 800 paid staffers still trying to come up with a response to Trump’s speech yesterday, where he essentially called her out on committing treason by selling out American workers for Chinese cash, among a host of other things. So far, their best comeback has been “I am not a crook.”

From CNN:

Donald Trump and his joint fundraising committee have raised at least $11 million since Tuesday morning, Republicans said Wednesday, a tremendously quick haul that comes amid concerns about his fundraising ability.

Trump Victory, the joint fundraising account with the Republican National Committee, and Trump’s official campaign raised $5 million online since Tuesday morning, when it sent one of its first fundraising pitches to its email list, according to Sean Spicer, an RNC Official.

That does not include the $2 million that Trump himself has pledged to match in the fundraising appeal, Spicer said.

Trump has done virtually no small-dollar fundraising since launching his campaign a year ago, and is not expected to begin a full online fundraising operation until the convention.

“We are incredibly excited by the outpouring of support from the grassroots supporters who want to see this country experience real change,” said Hope Hicks, a Trump spokeswoman.

Along with the online effort, a more traditional fundraising tool — a high-dollar fundraising event at a tony New York City restaurant — brought in $6 million for Trump and the RNC, his son, Eric, told CNN’s Erin Burnett on “OutFront.”

“We’re going to raise a lot of money,” Eric Trump said, subsequently heralding what he described as a “lean” campaign. “We don’t need the kind of money that Hillary (Clinton) needs.”

Trump is probably much better served with a lean, mean and nimble campaign; rather than the bloated, bureaucratic, and ponderous one HRC has set up. I understand the HRC campaign has about 650 paid staffers. Diminishing returns likely set in after the first hundred or so on staff. By the time you have 500 staffers, sclerosis sets in. Trump’s experience in the private sector is serving him well. It will be fun watching Trump out-maneuver HRC at every turn.
