I have never been one for data, as it can be manipulated by not so friendly handlers. Most of the people that create polls and data models usually ever going to the area that they’re targeting. Why do I say that?
Blogger Erick Erickson also a radio show host used that word (data) when he mentioned that he wants a failed presidential candidate Mitt Romney to run on a third-party ticket against a presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump.
It’s not enough that groups waited until the last minute to mount an attack against the GOP front-runner, or super packs have spent close to seventy-six million dollars and over 60,000 negative ads to take down one person who is garnered the most Republican votes in history to secure a nomination.
Romney wasn’t my first or second choice in 2012. Remember this, Romney got blown out by Barack Obama as “conservatives” and “evangelicals” stayed home, or that’s what the media reported. What does Erickson’s choice sound like?
From The Hill :
Conservative blogger and radio host Erick Erickson wants Mitt Romney to launch a third-party bid for president.
Erickson wrote Friday that he would “gladly work for a Romney presidency given the choices between Clinton and Trump.”
“There is more and more data out there that the time is right for a third party bid,” Erickson wrote. “More and more Americans are horrified and disgusted at the thought of voting for either Trump or Clinton.”
Erickson has said he would never vote for Donald Trump and has opposed Romney during his previous presidential runs.
The 2012 GOP nominee briefly spearheaded the recruiting efforts for a third-party candidate but said Wednesday he wouldn’t run himself and has dropped the search for another viable candidate.
I don’t put my trust in those who talk to a certain segment of people. If all you do is just cry and whine on Twitter and Facebook and reach your regular crowd of listeners without even thinking about walking into minority liberal communities with a message of hope and proof of change, you’re just making noise.
I heard Allen West say anyone can sing to the choir, but will those choir members go out and bring in more members. I haven’t seen it with Erickson, and I haven’t seen it with Romney. As for me, I have gotten numerous private messages and emails from those who switched from the Democratic Party because they like how I can call out both sides for their ability to hurt Americans and our military.
It’s time to look toward leaders who want to address everyone and make an effort to reach out to the other side rather than stay in some “conservative” box. There are stragglers who want help (leave the liberal agenda) and need guidance, and it’s time to reach them and show them there is another way.
