Gay waitress gets angry when customer leaves “praying for you” on receipt

Once again political correctness runs amok in the United States of America. I don’t know what the atmosphere was in the restaurant that night; I don’t know what transpired in any conversations that went on between the waitress center and her table, but I don’t see where all the ruckus is all about.

If someone says that they’re praying for you, there’s no reason to be angry about it. I can see if the person who exhibits the anger wants to make a point or to be publicly noticed as a victim which it seems, in this case, is happening.

From WBTV:

A Bible verse was left on the tip pointing Judd to Leviticus 20:13.

“If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination,” the King James version of the Old Testament verse reads. “They shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.”

Judd is gay.

The bottom of the receipt had a message for her as well: “Praying for you!”

“I never expected a hateful gesture like this,” Judd said of the comments. “I’ve had a guest leave me a pamphlet to their church as a tip one time, but I didn’t feel as if they were being hateful towards me. The ladies that came in were very rude, and would hardly talk to me – but I never expected this.”

She says she was infuriated and hurt by what she saw.

“I’ve heard of people leaving fake money, or writing funny stuff in the tip spot of a check but never believed it would happen to me, in the way that it did,” she said.

To a point, I understand her frustration but people do that all the time. It seems like attention-seeking to me.

Don’t you think this is much ado about nothing? The waitress wanted to make a huge deal about the situation, and that’s what type of country we live in now. Get offended, then take to social media to make a huge stink about it to your circle of friends, so they can tweet or post responses to make you feel better.

America, get a freaking grip. Someone says they are praying for you, thank them and move on. Someone writes it on a piece of paper, and you don’t agree, throw it away and keep stepping. This is ridiculous!

Do you think the waitress went too far by making a huge deal about this receipt? Share your opinions (below) in the comment section and let us know what you think.
