Hollywood celebrities including Jason Alexander, Antonio Banderas, Liev Schreiber, Jason Segel, Mark Wahlberg, and Gene Simmons, have shown their support for Israel by attending the Western Region Gala of the Friends of the IDF, which ended up raising $31 million.
The Beach Boys were among the performers.
Saban, the largest private donator to the IDF, said that particularly at a time when there is a large call to boycott Israel, “we are here to show the amazing support of Hollywood elite and the Jewish community of the US for Israel and IDF soldiers.”
“Recent weeks have proven that the IDF and security forces are firm in defending the state of Israel from all threats, and we are here to give them thanks and support them in all they are required to do,” he said.
According to Israeli media, the event focused on the “lone soldiers, who leave their families and native countries behind to serve in the army, and included testimonies from the mothers of fallen soldiers.” Apparently, it also featured a presentation from a US veteran on the impact of Israeli medical technology on the lives of Americans.

This was awesome! If this were some Obama function the mainstream media would have been all over it, announcing it until the Democratic National Convention. Make sure you share this news on your social media timeline.
