In response to director Quentin Tarantino’s anti-police rants from last Saturday, his father, Tony, was asked about it on Friday.
I love my son and have great respect for him as an artist but he is dead wrong in calling police officers, particularly in New York City where I grew up, murderers. He is a passionate man and that comes out in his art but sometimes he lets his passion blind him to the facts and to reality. I believe that is what happened when he joined in those anti-cop protests.
Hopefully, these words from his father can give Quentin a chance to re-examine his thoughts on police officers in general. It can be powerful when you hear words of criticism from another family member.
Unfortunately, Tarantino is not the only left-wing Hollywood celebrity who shares the anti-cop mentality. But it is good knowing at least his dad has more respect for the men in blue.
