GOP says being against coal = being against jobs

A new ad published today by the GOP takes aim at those who are against coal as being against jobs. This, after today’s announcement by President Obama in which he laid out plans to substantially slash emissions from  power plants.

Republicans have long called the Democrat’s war on coal an assault on the poor. According to the chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, Rep Fred Upton:

Despite the president’s focus on income inequality, this is a plan to make the poor poorer as it is the nation’s most vulnerable who suffer the most from higher energy prices and layoffs.
