I am not one to rub anybody’s face in a loss. I learned that a long time ago when I was growing up and when I lost any competition, to have had my face rubbed in it, I know how it feels. I know the last two elections voting as a Republican were very hard for me. It had me questioning many things, many people, the direction that I was following and I just got tired of losing with the wrong so call leaders.
Some Trump supporters out there this morning are going after the #NeverTrump crowd in trying to get them to join forces to fight against possible Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. I’m not at that point yet because I know if I would have just lost my candidate in an election as important as this is I would not want to hear anything from anybody at any time.
The GOP front-runner Donald Trump stayed on course, running as a Republican, championing Republican values, promising to defend the constitution (via Phyllis Schlafly) , being unpredictable, and creating a new type of campaign that nobody was able to stop or thwart. I wrote his opinion piece this morning on the super PACs that had spent close to $75 million to stop him, and they didn’t come close because they waited too long. I join, or I endorsed Donald Trump at the end of January 2016 and decided that I was going to promote the campaign full-time because I believe he can make America great again. He has the tools, He has the know-how, he has the vision, And he knows how to put things in motion to have us on the right track again.
Trump is not perfect, But neither were the rest of the GOP candidates. I am not going to spend time in telling you how each candidate failed to defeat Trump at the ballot box, But I will say at the Democrats don’t have an idea either.
I don’t expect the #NeverTrump crowd to come around anytime soon, and I do expect some of them not to vote in the general election. If you look at the past two general elections, conservatives didn’t vote or at least that is what we are told by the liberal media. McCain/Palin ’08 and Romney/Ryan ’12 most so lower numbers of conservatives going to the polls to support them, so I don’t expect that to happen this time. Would it be nice, sure, but is not in expectation of mine.
What I want to do is try to grab some liberal ears, maybe some that have not even voted before, or even the knew was that didn’t vote in the primary on the GOP side and bring them over for a longer extended stay.
I am focused right now on stop and Hillary Clinton from winning the Democratic nomination. There’s a strong possibility it might not even be her, it could be Bernie Sanders which in my opinion is much worse. Senders message of free everything has caught on with the millennials in the low information voters and if Hillary gets indicted by the FBI is going to be a challenge no matter who the GOP candidate would’ve been.
So let me say I hope many of the #NeverTrump crowd join to fight against Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders but if you don’t understand. I am not in a position to force anyone to change their vote; that’s a personal thing. All I want or all I pray for is that our side looks at the consequences continuing Barack Obama’s fundamental transformation. Can you accept that you will be part of that if you don’t fight against it?
