Actor and NRA member Isaiah Washington’s good nature was taken advantage of by culture twitter personality who used “Black Guns Matter” to his advantage.
Washington is a veteran of several Spike Lee films, Washington is best known for his role as Dr. Preston Burke on the ABC medical drama Grey’s Anatomy from 2005 until 2007. Washington currently plays Thelonius Jaha on The CW’s The 100.
Washington joined the show this past week to talk about how he tried to help a young man who asked for his guidance and assistance to raise awareness to an issue that plagues all communities especially the black community. Washington explains in this interview segment that not only did he help this young man financially and there was even a larger $6 million dollar nationwide tour on the horizon, this young man stiffed him for $6,000 dollars and broke off contact.
Washington’s reasoning for helping MajToure initially was driven because of a personal tragedy that happened before these two men crossed paths. Washington even paid for an apartment MajToure after the young man begged for more help.
MajToure also started a GoFundMe asking for $150,000 and has raised over $35,000. Does it make sense he would walk out on Washington? Wouldn’t this make you angry to invest in someone who’s walks out on you and then continues to get monies from individuals who don’t know who he really is?
