Jack In The Box has caved to liberals on the 2nd Amendment. The restaurant that allowed law-abiding citizens to carry firearms has finally succumbed to pressure from infamous anti-2nd amendment group Moms’ Demand Action to reverse their policy.
The group put forth a petition addressed to the CEO, Leonard Comma, to change the policy. Unsurprisingly, in the first paragraph of the text, they bash Texas, even going off topic after their no minimum wage. In the last paragraph, they simply urge Jack In The Box to keep their guns out of their restaurants, but we all know that won’t be the end. When they get guns out of restaurants, then they’ll come up with a new location to try to confiscate guns, whether its gun ranges, open carry bars, or any other place.
This is not the first time the anti-gun group found success. Last year, they successfully pressured Starbucks into reversing their open carry policy as well.
But they arrogantly deny the fact that gun free zones are the areas of higher crime activity. They still believe that criminals will obey any draconian anti-gun law. Plus, knowing that places like Starbucks and Jack In The Box are now gun free zones, this will be a target for criminals to attack if they ever decide to. When crime takes place in gun free zones, Moms Demand will pull an Obama tactic and just blame someone else, but we know they’re responsible for supporting these gun free zones.
As upsetting and hopeless as these times may sound, we must persevere and fight the good fight. Every debate has both sides. Moms’ Demand and every other anti-gun group have their side, but we have ours, and we need to keep making our voices loud and clear. This may be a short-term victory for them, but in the long term, if we keep fighting for the Constitution and freedom, we will be victorious.
