John McCain on Ted Cruz eligibility inquiries – It’s a legitimate question, they looked into mine

Oh, my.

Now GOP Sen. John McCain is saying the questions about Sen. Ted Cruz’s eligibility to be President are “legitimate,” because he was not born in a U.S. Territory – as McCain was in the Panama Canal Zone. He was born on “foreign soil.” McCain did not say Cruz is not a “natural born citizen” as the Constitution requires, but he said it is a legitimate issue that needs to be looked into.

It should be said that McCain is no fan of Ted Cruz. But he’s no fan of Donald Trump either. Virtually all legal scholars say Cruz is a “natural born citizen,” because his mother was a U.S. Citizen at the time of his birth in Canada, and is, therefore, eligible to be President.

Is it “FAIR” to look into or should nobody question the validity of Cruz’s eligibility? Cruz supporters will tell you immediately this is being done to hurt his standing in Iowa but the fact still remains is it fair to check into or should everyone just leave it alone?
