Kasich: Infant mortality within “majority community” is fine; minorities need to work with us

Well, what do you know? There’s always one in every bunch.

Guess Gov. John Kasich won’t get the black vote anytime soon, especially this 2016 election.

During the MSNBC Town Hall, Kasich listened to host Chuck Todd bring up statistics in his home state of Ohio dealing with abortions in the black community. Kasich felt that the infant mortality rate worked fine on the white people, and it seemed as if he blamed the black infant mortality rate in the black community. He also threw out the point that the problem his program is not working with blacks is because they are bad at “partnership:”

Whoa Nellie!

So I don’t know about all that study. I will tell you this. The issue of infant mortality is a tough one. We have taken that on and one of the toughest areas to take on is in the minority community. And the community itself is going to have to have a better partnership with all of us to begin to solve that problem with infant mortality in the minority community, because we’re making gains in the majority community. We don’t ignore any of this, Chuck. These are serious issues and they need to be addressed and I don’t put my head in the sand and if I got to get people upset doing it, that’s life.

He might have been talking fast but we got the gist of the conversation and he’s going to backtrack real soon to clarify his comments, I am 100% sure of it.

What did you think of these comments? Do you agree with the segregation tone or am I wrong to break it down as such? Drop your opinions (below), I want to hear from you on this subject.
