I’m glad to have read that former Illinois Congressman Joe Walsh is “very seriously considering challenging” Senator Mark Kirk for his U.S. Senate seat in 2016.
The former congressman of Illinois’s 8th district is a solid conservative who will bring the true conservative principles back to this state, which is currently in a headlock with endless regulations and liberalism.
While moderates and liberals have accused Walsh as controversial, it is just another way of saying Joe Walsh is too conservative and politically incorrect for them. The fact that he served one term until he lost in 2012, but did not sell his soul to get re-elected goes to show he places conservative principles above any sort of power or corruption.
However, Kirk was not too worried about any opponent, according to his statement.
Based on the polling, I’d say a Republican candidate would be very foolish to come up against me… that’d be a pretty stupid move.
If you want to get a small taste of how much of a liberal Mark Kirk is, the NRA has given him a D-rating when it comes to guns. It goes to show how many liberal and moderate Republicans think the same way and aren’t any better than the Democrats. So what is the point of running on a Republican ticket if you are no different than a Democrat?
As nice as it is to have a new Illinois Governor, this is one step, but is not enough. We need to elect new politicians who will stand up for liberty and limited government, and Joe Walsh is a perfect candidate to be our next potential Senator.
In the meantime, we’re stuck with Dick Durbin, a career politician who is a hardcore liberal, and Mark Kirk, an establishment Republican who is no friend to the Tea Party or conservatism. Illinois is in a lot of pain right now, but it will continue to take a lengthy process to work with our conservative grassroots organizations to bring this state back. I fully support Joe Walsh if he does run for the Senate seat and it would be a great step in fixing Illinois.
