Ok, let’s me truthful. Sen. Mitch McConnell just announced he’s holding up the health care vote while Sen. John McCain recovers from his surgery. I think there’s more to it.
The Senate version of the health care bill is already on shaky ground as Sen. Rand Paul and Sen. Susan Collins have publicly stated they will vote NAY on it’s current form. McConnell has told us that the Senate will start their August recess two weeks later as they prepare to catch up on work they are behind in. This could possible mean health care could be on the table.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) announced Saturday night that the vote on Senate Republicans’ ObamaCare repeal and replace bill would be delayed until a later date.
The news comes after Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.) released a statement that he would miss this week’s votes as he recovers from surgery.
McCain’s absence meant Senate Republicans almost certainly would not have had the 50 votes needed to win a procedural vote this week.
McCain underwent a procedure to remove a blood clot from his eye on Friday, according to statements from his office and the Mayo Clinic. He is recovering at home in Arizona.
Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Susan Collins (R-Maine) have already said they would oppose the procedural vote. With all Democrats voting no, that would leave Republicans with just 49 votes, given McCain’s absence.
The further delay in the schedule is expected to hurt Senate Republicans, as opponents of the legislation use the extra time to pressure wavering GOP centrists to vote against it.

McConnell and the Republicans should have had this wrapped up. They have had the years to work a solution and they lied to us. Should we be angry? Yes!
I supposed it’s ok to wait until after McCain gets back but McConnell needs to start talking to some Democrats to secure a real win because right now he’s got problems.
