Rock and Roll Hall of Fame conservative radio show host Michael Savage was attacked outside a San Francisco eatery on Tuesday night.
Savage, one of the top conservative radio show host in America, was attacked by an unknown assailant. According to the Rich Lieberman Report, Savage’s dog was kicked out of the way so he could reach the 74-year-old announcer, throwing him to the ground.
Savage was with his dog, “Teddy”, and finishing up dinner at Servino Restaurant in Tiburon, CA (north of San Francisco) when the unnamed assailant charged up to Savage and began yelling, “Hey Weiner”, making fun of Savage’s legal last name. The attacker then kicked the poodle out of the way so he could get to Michael and then grabbed Savage and threw him to the ground, according to an eyewitness who watched the attack along with several restaurant patrons.
Savage was not seriously hurt and his dog is OK but the incident left him bloodied and shaken.
We’re asking everyone to pray for the Savage after what he just went through. He’s been a strong supporter of President Donald Trump, and I will not speculate if that is the reason for the attack. Savage’s real name is Michael Weiner, which was addressed in his update below.
Leiberman was given this updated statement from Savage at 10:35 pm PST:
“I was leaving Servino’s restaurant when a total stranger followed me out of the restaurant and confronted me. He said, ‘Are you Michael Weiner?’
I turned to him and sid, ‘Go away, I don’t know who you are.
I turned to leave and he pushed me and I fell down.
He moved toward me to pushed me down and he shoved my 10-pound poodle out of the way to get to me.
He has lied and said I pushed him. That is absurd. Both of my hands were holding onto things!”
Renowned David Horowitz is Savage’s attorney, and he said the following: “We’re going to seek felony charges against the man and we’re going to investigate this as a Hate Crime because of Michael’s political views.”
This story is still developing. Tune into the Michael Savage Report for updates.
