My 5 Reasons Why I Oppose Climate Change Agenda

With the climate change talks by world leaders taking place in Paris for the next 2 weeks, I need to re-emphasize 5 reasons why I refuse to support this agenda.

1.) There hasn’t been any global warming present for nearly the past 20 years. But don’t take it from me. The satellites we use make that conclusion. Yet facts seem to be unacceptable to the left because every summer they appear to claim its the hottest on record. When environmentalists still think it is warming when it really hasn’t, they just lose more credibility.

2.) It really isn’t about the environment, but about money, more government control, and an attack on free-market capitalism. If it really was about the environment, then why are leftists still complaining? Global warming has been at a standstill, and better technology through free enterprise have decreased effects on the environment. When you hear so-called recommendations such as telling us what size house to live in, what car to buy, how much gas to purchase, what small businesses can sell, or whether we should be allowed to use air conditioning, this is all about government control. Our civil liberties become less present the more climate change activists get their way because it isn’t just recommendations to different lifestyle choices they’re advocating, but it’s government mandates telling us how we can live.

3.) If we give environmentalists everything they wanted, our economy will also be destroyed. Their calls to restrict small businesses with endless regulations, end the use of fossil fuels and natural gas, and to stop free market capitalism is a recipe for disaster. When they always claim “our economy and environment need to go hand in hand” since when have they ever worked together? The policies they promote have never improved our economy but just makes everything worse with the very regulations putting a strangle on the engine of our economy, which are small businesses. The reality is that conservative leaders who value free markets have improved the environment much better than the left could ever dream of through their support of endless EPA mandates.

4.) There still is not, nor will there ever be evidence of man-made climate change. Rather, it is evident that it comes in natural cycles. For the past 4.5 billion years, the earth has gone through climate change, and the same cooling and warming cycles are still occurring now as it was before the Industrial Revolution. As much the left hates to admit this, it is pure speculation when they solemnly declare humans are causing climate change. And when they always try to cite “scientists” for evidence, they forget that there are also scientists who also don’t support the man-made climate change theory.

5.) There is no consensus on man-made climate change. The so-called 97% scientific consensus has been debunked numerous times. And every single environmental prediction made by environmentalists have been proven wrong. You will notice they always use the word “could” when making a prediction because it ends up never happening. Plus this was the very reason climate change alarmists transitioned from the term “global warming” to “climate change” because, with no global warming present for the past 2 decades, global warming lost its purpose. But with the term “climate change”, every weather activity can be blamed, whether it’s hot, cold, tornadoes, snow storms, hail, floods, tsunamis, or earthquakes just to name a few.

Have liberals ever thought to themselves that us conservatives can support conserving the environment without destroying the economy? Instead of letting them frame the narrative, we can’t always play defense. We need to reframe the narrative and refute their claims that we must hate the environment for not supporting the man-made climate change status quo.
