Eric Holder is leaving office, but lawlessness is the norm in America. It doesn’t matter if Holder is in office or not, the damage that has been done cannot be repaired. After the recent atrocity commit by a Muslim on Thursday in Moore, Oklahoma, the justice department is ratcheting up its profiling ban. The new law will make it impossible for law enforcement officials to perform surveillance on a mosque, unless they have PROOF that illegal or criminal activity is taking place there. This comes at a time when threats from the Islamic State have never been more pronounced, and also at a time when mosques within this country are espousing and encouraging Islamic terrorism. The threat is here, and the justice department has decided now is the time to go “hands off.”
On Thursday, 30-year-old Muslim Alton Nolen beheaded a Christian woman, whom he “tried to convert to Islam.” He was in the act of doing the same thing to another ex-coworker when he was shot. This happened in Oklahoma in broad daylight. What is to keep this from happening anywhere? Nothing. This is possible in every American city, or small town for that matter. No place is immune from this type of incident. Nolen attended the mosque linked to Imam Suhaib Webb. Webb is a known confidant of Al-Qaeda terrorist Anwar al-Awlaki. At one point, he led the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City, where Nolen frequented. Now he leads the Islamic Society of Boston, infamous for its connections to the Boston Bombers.
“Infamous” would be implying that a mosque attended by terrorists is something negative. It’s not obviously, because Iman Webb is still working and was even invited to an “interfaith” meeting right after the Boston Bombing, but mysteriously declined the invite at the last-minute. No, our nation does not want to dare imply that Islam is synonymous with terror, or that anything but peaceful tidings come out of the some 2,000 plus mosques in the U.S.
At the most crucial time, when vigilance in regards to Islam and a crackdown on mosques in America is most warranted, the justice department wants a “hands off” approach. One would assume they want more people like Alton Nolen roaming the streets, beheading people at will. At Nolen’s mosque in Oklahoma City, 1,000 people were reported attending Friday evening prayer services. This is but ONE mosque and one service. How many of these people could be the next Alton Nolen? There are at least 1,000 potential jihadis coming from this one Oklahoma City mosque alone.
With so many threats from so many sources, the last thing officials should be doing is backing off mosques. This is where the Qur’an is taught, the book that espouses death to infidels. Instead, officials aren’t to target mosques unless there is proof of criminal activity.
The new policy, though still being finalized, is expected to prohibit federal agents from conducting undercover surveillance of a mosque, for example, without some information that criminal activity is underway. Under the current rules, approved in the aftermath of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, law enforcement agencies were given broad latitude to monitor specific religious groups.
There may yet be some activities permitted that would rankle privacy advocates and groups representing Muslim Americans. For example, according to a Justice Department source, the recruiting of informants from a particular religious group may be allowed.
The new policy will add to long-standing prohibitions on racial profiling, extending that policy for the first time to national security investigations.
Any Muslim upset about monitoring of potential terrorist recruits needn’t worry. Once the Obama Administration is through, with or without Holder, there will be absolutely no profiling of Muslims. Americans are sitting ducks. The Obama Administration wouldn’t have it any other way, not that there is a great public outcry for greater scrutiny of Muslims. In fact, it’s the opposite, because to tell the truth about Islam is to be labeled a “notorious flame thrower” like Pamela Geller. America has lost the “war on terror.” There is no waking up from this nightmare. By the time all the dead bodies are totaled, there will be nothing left.
