In Mustang, Oklahoma the school board has voted to adopt a Bible course.[twitter-follow username=”staffordvoice” scheme=”light”]
The course was approved by a 4-0 vote with one abstaining. It was developed by Hobby Lobby president, Steve Green.
Washington Post reports that the district has agreed to ‘beta-test the first year of the Museum of the Bible Curriculum, an ambitious four-year public school elective on the narrative, history and impact of the Good Book.’
It is the hope of the Green Scholars Initiative to have this Bible course in hundreds, if not thousands of high schools throughout the next year.
Response from Oklahoma ACLU is ‘to ensure no students…have their right of religious liberty compromised.’
