According to my sources at Ethoshield, Pfc. Bowe Bergdahl collaborated with and trained Taliban forces. Sources familiar with the intelligence information claim that U.S. troops received an intelligence report stating that Bergdahl stopped in a local village and asked how to find the Taliban.
According to a U.S. official, who asked to remain anonymous, Bergdahl was not a POW. He was an active participant who freely traveled with the Taliban evading capture in Pakistan.
Anonymous U.S. officials have told Ethoshield investigators that Bergdahl is suspected to have been training Taliban forces on IEDs and weapons tactics.
A recent article in The Weekly Standard backs up Ethoshield’s claims:
[S]everal military officials who spoke with THE WEEKLY STANDARD noted privately that Taliban attacks on U.S. forces in the Paktika province seemed to increase in frequency and effectiveness [after Bergdahl disappeared]…
They also believe Bergdahl developed close relationships with the Afghan locals and may have became radicalized during several unexplained absences.
