You just can’t make this stuff up, seriously!
Today, there was a vote in the Senate to approve a $1.8 trillion dollar spending bill and tax package. Sen. Marco Rubio, just on Thursday had announced he was going to slow the legislation down.
He missed the vote.
This isn’t calling him out, this is the news. He’s the only elected GOP Presidential candidate that missed the vote. How does he keep getting away with this and his supporters keep thinking it’s ok?
If you can’t be a man of your word, are you a man?
According to The Hill:
Rubio was threatening parliamentary maneuvers yesterday to block the bill. It is pretty hard to engage in those sorts of tactics when you don’t even show up.
Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), three other presidential candidates, all voted against the the legislation.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), a fourth GOP presidential candidate from the Senate, backed the bill.
Cruz announced his opposition to the legislation on Thursday, describing his vote as a “hell no.”
Yesterday on Fox News, Rubio was very believable when he said he would do everything in his power to stop the massive spending bill but it turns out, he chose another place to be.
His supporters will tell you the vote didn’t matter but Rubio said he would show up and he didn’t. What does that tell you about him if anything?
