Sen. Marco Rubio picked up a major endorsement today and it’s huge for his comeback after the debacle that was New Hampshire.
South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley endorsed Rubio before a CNN Townhall event tonight. This is a big blow to Gov. Jeb Bush and Sen. Ted Cruz . It is likely to give Rubio a real boost in Saturday’s South Carolina’s primary vote. Whether it will be enough to vault Rubio to victory is unclear.
But it may move him past Cruz into a strong 2nd place finish at the least. That would be huge for Rubio going forward.
It was already known Haley would not endorse Donald Trump because she disagrees with his strong line on illegal immigration. It does make you wonder if you are looking at the likely GOP 2016 Presidential Ticket if Donald Trump ends up not winning the Nomination.
