Since her article about a “Black Santa,” SLATE.com (liberal leaning website) blogger Aisha Harris has appeared on Roland Martin Speaks, MSNBC and CNN (the leading go-getter in publicizing false narrative on racism/race-baiting) to tell her story or what she meant. However, SLATE has turned down requests to allow Harris to be interviewed by FOX News Megyn Kelly to work out what each were trying to say and come to a mature, adult conclusion over their disagreement.
Harris was exploited on MSNBC and CNN, and in my humble opinion, “Pimped Out,” in a way to just get one side across which is what these networks do on a consistent basis. During CNN’s Reliable Sources on Sunday morning, Harris felt bold and comfortable enough to say things like this:
“I felt that they were playing the victim there,” Harris said. “And the fact that they tried to deflect it, and say that they were making a joke out of it, just didn’t ring true to me. She said it very emphatically on the program Wednesday, and to me there was nothing joke-like about it.”
If Aisha had felt strongly about her view, she could have talked to the heads of racial divide at SLATE.com and forced their hand to appear and explain her position. But here is her excuse for not appearing on FoxNews:
“They didn’t reach out until just before the show was airing,” Harris said. “It felt like a last minute thing, almost like a slight.”
A Fox News spokesperson replied:
“Slate and Harris were contacted more than a few hours before the show.”
Once again my friends we see another case of plantation politics. This wasn’t something that had to happen. Both women could have expressed their thoughts and come to some sort of conclusion but SLATE.com and Aisha Harris wanted controversy and that’s what they got. Why? Because it sells.
