Fox News political commentator visited Fox News’ Fox & Friends to share some of her opinions on race, and in the process, she named institutions like African-American-targeted awards shows as practically unprogressive.
“We have to make up our minds,” she said. “Either we want to have segregation or integration. And if we don’t want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the Image Awards where you’re only awarded if you’re Black. If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms. It’s a double standard.”
That’s not all. After the host, Steve Doocy asked Dash to confirm that she wants BET axed, she added that Black History Month should go down with it.
“No, I don’t think so. No,” she said. “Just like there shouldn’t be a Black History Month. You know? We’re Americans. Period. That’s it.”
And for the explosive ending: Doocy then asks, “Are you saying there shouldn’t be a Black History Month because there isn’t a white history month?”
“Exactly. Exactly,” she replied.
We’ve seen it year after year to where it is almost a bullying tactic from the black actors, and I am just about sick of it. They have black studios now, black producers, black movie directors, and the Black Entertainment Television Awards. They usually do not nominate white actors for major awards there, and that’s their decision.
Watch Stacey break it down more eloquently:
The black Hollywood community figured since they weren’t getting their just due, it was time to create their award show. But since that show is only on BET and not nationally or globally, they want to hijack the Oscars. Enough is enough.
