A Tea Party PAC is backing J.D. Winteregg against House Speaker John Boehner. Boehner’s support in his district is at 50%, but when up against any conservative challenger, it’s a dismal 25%. The PAC has dropped $320,000 into the race in an effort to replace Boehner with a more conservative representative.[twitter-follow username=”iResistAll” scheme=”light”]
The primary is May 6th, and the PAC is calling for all who can help man phone banks, and walk precincts to volunteer. They are providing free meals and hotel rooms to those who come in from outside West Chester, Ohio. Instructions on how to volunteer are listed below.
Winteregg teaches French at a local high school, and he is an adjunct French instructor at Cedarville University.
He was the executive director for the Ohio Accountability Project (OAP), a group that works to “replace inadequate elected officials with principled citizens who will be accountable to the people of Ohio.” The OAP’s initial mission was to replace John Boehner as he was “no longer adequately representing the people in OH-8.”
Winteregg produced a hilarious campaign ad titled “When the moment is right.” It’s a take on the Cialis ads about erectile dysfunction, and accuses Boehner of having “electile dysfunction.” The ad went viral, and was shown on Fox News and several top conservative shows. You can view the ad below.
Winteregg, a first-time candidate, is “100% opposed to amnesty,” pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, and supports defunding Obamacare completely.
If you’re in Ohio, and would like help replace Boehner, email Jeff Rainforth at [email protected]. Volunteers will man phone banks, or walk precincts. Hotel rooms and meals are being provided by the Tea Party Leadership Fund. The primary is May 6th, so, if you can help, get in touch soon.
