THEY WANT OPEN BORDERS! Dems Introducing New Bill To Block Trump’s Wall Construction

On Thursday, Senator Tom Carper (D-DE) introduced legislation yesterday that would block President Trump’s construction of the southern wall.

The bill, S.668, has been sent to the Judiciary Committee and gives a synopsis.

A bill to nullify the effect of the recent executive order regarding border security and immigration enforcement.

In a press release, it opens with the intro of the bill.

Legislation would rescind President Trump’s executive order requiring construction of a wall along the U.S. southern border with Mexico and increased detention and deportations of undocumented immigrants

Then Carper called the wall both expensive and ineffective.

Spending billions of taxpayer dollars to wall off the remainder of the border is an exorbitantly expensive and an ineffective substitute for a smart, layered approach to border security.

The proposed wall would be incredibly costly, with American taxpayers set to bear the cost. The non-partisan Government Accountability Office (GAO) estimates that it will cost $21 billion to build the wall, not including the costs to acquire land.

Here are the 23 co-sponsors of the bill:

-Michael Bennet (D-CO)

-Richard Blumenthal (D-CT)

-Cory Booker (D-NJ)

-Chris Coons (D-DE)

-Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV)

-Tammy Duckworth (D-IL)

-Dick Durbin (D-IL)

-Al Franken (D-MN)

-Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY)

-Kamala Harris (D-CA)

-Mazie Hirono (D-HI)

-Tim Kaine (D-VA)

-Patrick Leahy (D-VT)

-Edward Markey (D-MA)

-Robert Menendez (D-NJ)

-Jeff Merkley (D-OR)

-Chris Murphy (D-CT)

-Patty Murray (D-WA)

-Jack Reed (D-RI)

-Bernie Sanders (I-VT)

-Chris Van Hollen (D-MD)

-Elizabeth Warren (D-MA)

-Ron Wyden (D-OR)

Carper is concerned about $21 billion. Where was his concern when Barack Obama added $10 trillion to the national debt?

If he does not want to be hypocritical, he should also condemn the amount spent in the previous administration.

Plus, Dems like spending so much on government. But when it comes to the wall, they do the opposite.
