Unless you’ve been living under a rock over the past several years, you know about the left’s ‘war on women’ platform. War on women? Pleeease. The right is no more waging war on women than the president is getting ready to switch parties.
The so-called ‘war on women’ is nothing more than a cheap ploy. There is no war, there isn’t even a battle. Not even a skirmish. The ‘war’ has been invented, manufactured by the left to indoctrinate women into the liberal ideology, to draw them into the vortex of dependency that they are working feverishly to strengthen. And much to the chagrin of the right, especially the Conservative right, many women fall hook, line, and sinker for this sleazy tactic – because, quite frankly, it sounds good.
This past week, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee took a beating from the left (and even some dolts from the right) for his scathing commentary on the faux war on women wherein – oh my! – he used the word “libido”. I don’t know about you, but it was crystal clear to me that he was defending and propping up women to the highest level imaginable. Anything short of this interpretation is simply delusional. If you’ve failed to glean that from his powerful monologue, go back and listen to it again – this time without any preconceived notions swirling about in your noggin. I thought “Huck” was brilliant. But make no mistake. He knew dang well there’d be a veritable crapstorm in the wake of his words. And there was.
The question remains: are women going to fall for this ploy, to buy that Republicans are waging a war on them? For the right to say it is pro-life isn’t warlike. For it to say it is against paying for abortion is not warlike. And to say that no one else should foot the bill for a women’s contraception…no, not warlike. If you seriously believe these are the elements of war, you need to start thinking with your head instead of your heart because that is precisely the mechanism upon which the left relies: toy with a women’s emotions, play on her sensibilities therewith, and hopefully she will be too blinded to see what is really going on. So, be warned. If you aren’t careful, you will have become an unwitting foot soldier in no time flat. THAT, my friends, is more warlike than anything I’ve ever seen come from the right. Ever.
Back in the day, I was so far to the left, I was glued to the wall. I was young and rebellious, and on a mission to have the ideal career. The perfect storm of events in my life led me down the path of liberalism. But I really didn’t know where I was going. It just ‘felt’ right, so I went with it. I hated the white man for his ‘greed’ and what he had perpetrated on blacks, Hispanics, and women. I couldn’t see past the fog that had cozily settled around my life for so long. I had no genuine knowledge of politics and no one to guide me. And you couldn’t tell me anything I didn’t want to hear. I knew what I knew, most of which was drilled into my head by the ‘courageous’ women of the left. In the end – and there was an end – my fast held beliefs cost me everything. As is chronicled in my book: Thrown Under The Bus: The Rise And Fall Of An American Worker, I was thrown under the proverbial bus and mercilessly rolled over back and forth for nearly two decades. I lost everything. Mental illness befell my life. My career was gone. Where was the left when I needed them?
So ladies, don’t be who I was. Think with your heads. Look at the facts. Make your own assessments. Birth control, income inequality or any of the myriad issues with which the left attempts to control women are nothing more than a means by which play on our emotions. Yes, we are emotional beings, but, as Governor Huckabee so eloquently said, women are much more than that.
