Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch said that the missing emails of Lois Lerner has “all been a pack of malarkey.”
This statement comes after learning that Washington backs up everything in the case that an event like this would occur. Every small business in America has a similar policy in place, and most households these days backup their systems.
So, upon learning that Lois Lerner supposedly ‘lost’ emails, many people were left scratching their heads wondering, ‘How does that happen?’
In a statement to Fox News via The Blaze, Fitton said:
“A Department of Justice attorney told a Judicial Watch attorney on Friday that it turns out the federal government backs up all computer records in case something terrible happens in Washington.
“So everything we’ve been hearing about scratched hard drives, missing emails of Lois Lerner, other IRS officials, other officials in the Obama administration… it’s all been a pack of malarkey. They could get these records but they don’t want to.
“There’s no such thing as Lois Lerner’s missing emails. It’s all been a big lie. They’ve been lying to the courts, the American people, and to Congress.”
The IRS continues to claim that the emails are lost.
