Obama’s Environmental Protection Agency is at it again. What is their next victim? Airplanes. As early as Friday, the EPA will announce new regulations to cut down emissions from airplanes, in the name of man-made “climate change.”
As if we don’t already have enough environmental regulations, the argument from environmentalists is that that airplanes have gone “unregulated” for too long. William Becker, executive director of the National Association of Clean Air Agencies, gave his remarks.
Aircraft are the largest remaining unregulated source of greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector and can only be regulated by the federal government. This presents President Obama with a tremendous opportunity to demonstrate leadership not only domestically but, indeed, around the world.
This is nothing but wishful thinking. Obama has always tried to lead from behind, and the rest of the world even acknowledges he is not a good leader. And we have no idea how much more expensive flying can become if these new regulations were to pass.
Plus, should we really trust the same EPA that sent a SWAT team to an Alaska mine in 2013? Should we trust the same EPA that is waging a war on coal, oil, and natural gas? And should we trust the same EPA that wants to block any attempt to drilling underneath our feet that can lead to the next big oil boom? Well, I don’t.

And will the plane Obama uses to travel face the same regulations the EPA is proposing? I highly doubt it. I’m tired of Obama and his rich, Hollywood liberal climate change advocate friends preach about the dangers of airplane emissions when they go flying around every day in their private jets themselves. The EPA is doing nothing but playing more political games to push a man made “climate change” agenda that doesn’t exist.
