So-called “white privilege” is part of the Critical Race Theory (CRT) promoted mainly by Derrick Bell. In many ways, CRT is simply an unproven ideology that unfortunately foments racism toward whites. The belief in “white privilege” is a way to pour guilt on white people about slavery. Like many things done the Alinsky way, if this is stated enough times, it will become accepted as truth, whether it is truth or not.
If you’re an educator in Wisconsin schools, then you’ve probably attended and participated in tax-funded conferences/workshops designed specifically to address the “white privilege” that apparently exists in society and somehow benefits all white people. “Over the weekend, teachers and school administrators from across Wisconsin attended the 15th annual White Privilege Conference in Madison. The event was held to train teachers to fight notions of ‘white privilege’ and ‘white supremacy’ in schools. While most people would have had no problem with the conference had it been a nonpartisan effort to promote equal opportunity in the classroom, it was most certainly not that…”
It’s always difficult to talk about racial issues on the best of days, for some anyway. Proponents of “White Privilege” argue and believe that all whites are inherently racist. They also believe that the many societal institutions automatically benefit white people (whether they do or not). Because of this, minorities must be given a leg up and allowed to have their special programs, their special groups, their special caucuses. Anything special for whites would immediately result in cries of racism, white supremacy, and the KKK.
It doesn’t matter that not all white people think alike and it’s the whites on the left who have enslaved minorities (especially blacks) consistently since the days of LBJ. These leftists have done everything they can to keep blacks and other minorities on the “plantation” so to speak by giving entitlements. Over time blacks and minorities became comfortable with those entitlements so that they actually believe they are owed them.
With respect to the taxpayer funded “White Privilege” workshop held in Wisconsin, it is interesting to realize the approach that is taken there. It is nothing but a form of brainwashing and apparently, too few teachers have chosen to resist. “While leading a breakout session, a former teacher compared being white to alcoholism. She stated, ‘I will never be recovered by my alcoholism, to use the metaphor. I have to everyday [sic] wake up and acknowledge that I am so deeply embedded with racist thoughts and notions and actions in my body that I have to choose everyday [sic] to do anti-racist work and think in an anti-racist way‘.”
This is asinine to the highest level. This particular ex-teacher believes that she is so steeped in racism that it is very much like being an alcoholic. The trouble of course, besides the obvious (painting everyone who is white as racist, which is racist in and of itself), is the idea that the white person is hopelessly lost in their racism, never to fully recover. It’s a day to day struggle.
But for blacks and other minorities, this is not the case. CRT also teaches implicitly that it is impossible for blacks to be racist. Why? Because they have no power over whites, as if that is the definition of racism.
Dictionary.com provides three definitions of the word “racism”:
- a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one’s own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
- a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination.
- hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.
Please notice that numbers 1 and 2 are interesting because they are not definitions so much, but the results of racist attitudes. It’s number 3 that is really the definition of racism that actually gives birth to numbers 1 and 2.
People hate other groups or races of people (racism). Because of that, they begin to think of that other race as inferior (result of racist thinking). Because of racism towards a specific group of people, policies and a system of government is created to benefit one group over that other group. These are the results of racism.
But racism itself is the abject hatred or intolerance of a specific race of people. For that to be true, a person does not have to have power over that race at all. They can simply hate. That definition of racism allows for blacks (and everyone else) to be racist. Racism is not simply believed and fomented by whites. Everyone has the ability to hate others. Everyone. Blacks are no exception, but they are being taught that because they have no “power,” and because of “white privilege,” they have been hampered in life. The blacks who buy this also play the race card often.
I also find it fascinating that conservative blacks seem to have little to no problem achieving their goals and yet, what stands in their way? Racist attitudes from other blacks and whites as well – all from the left. The hatred is palpably obvious.
The left has fought to keep blacks and other minorities entrenched in dependency. The same left is trying to instill a deep sense of inner turmoil in whites who are made to feel as though they are so thoroughly racist that they will never be cured in their lifetime.
This kind of brainwashing does nothing good. It pits one race against another. It is part of the Global Elite’s social change program. They instill strife, misery, and hatred into people all based on phony baloney theories that have no basis in fact.
The educators in Wisconsin who have fallen for this crap and simply being taught to hate themselves. They need to reject it, but they likely won’t.
The rest of us? Stand against it, pure and simple. Reject it as being thoroughly untrue because it is untrue. We don’t need to use racism against all whites to deal with the actual racism that people of every ethnicity can and do engender, in order to pretend that racism only comes from one source.
