GOP front-runner Donald Trump has a double-digit lead over the next candidate. He’s enjoying great crowds and reaching more and more new supporters each and every day. He doesn’t have a filter and he speaks up for a lot of Americans who don’t have a voice but would say what he says if they had a platform.
Trump was interviewed by CNN’s Don Lemon on the upcoming debates and usually Trump is very boastful and tells what he can do and how great he wants America to be again but he sorta scaled back just a bit. It almost seemed as if he was down playing his appearance. I don’t believe that Mr. Trump is going to go into these debates with a scripted dialog, or scripted answers to the probable questions, as the other candidates will.
I believe he will give off the cuff, straight forward, and genuine answers without being coached, and having hours of practice sessions. He will possibly be the most honest in his answers whether we the public cares to hear them or not. Remember, his life does not depend on him winning or losing this election, as does the other candidates, so I expect that he will tell it as he sees it.
“I have to be myself Don,” he said. “And if it’s not good enough, that’s OK. You know, I’ll go onto other things, I’ll ride into the sunset and do some more buildings and create some more jobs, and that’s OK. I’m doing this because I want to make America great again, and that’s why I’m doing it.”
Trump also suggested he didn’t have a debate coach because he was not convinced such an expert would actually help. Then he said he’s willing to go off into the sunset if things don’t work out and that’s the first time he’s said that.
