Many have heard of our Marine who took a wrong turn while carrying legal firearms in his vehicle at the Mexican border. This case is a legitimate cause for protest in the streets of America, but sadly it seems many American’s priorities are not in line with generations in the past. When a city shuts down due to riots over a cop doing his job, it seems ludicrous that we are not shouting and protesting daily for the return of an American hero….one who has sacrificed for each and every one of us.
What is even more absurd is the fact that this President and his Administration have been completely silent on the matter. This United States Marine swore to serve this President as Commander-in-Chief. He did so proudly and in return, when he needed his Commander-in-Chief, he received silence. He received silence when a traitor to the United States Military received mercy. This Commander-in-Chief traded FIVE known terrorist for one deserter, but this proud hero got silence…nothing.
What Sargent Andrew P. Tahmooressi has received is support from a grass root effort to bring attention to his situation and bring him home. As of October 1, Rep. Ed Royce of California says that he had recently spoken with Mexican officials and was “confident that a humanitarian release will occur very soon” but as of today, there has been no update. He has received support from Montel Williams and Gary Sinise, both strong advocates and supporters of our military. Where is the rest of Hollywood? Where is the rest of D.C.? Where is New York City? Where are YOU America?
