WOW! Ted Cruz Wins Big With North Dakota Delegates!

On Sunday, North Dakota selected 25 delegates for the GOP national convention, and it has been reported that presidential candidate Ted Cruz is winning the support of most of them.

Although the delegates will be free agents at the convention and can vote for whomever, estimates show that at least 18 of the 25 delegates will likely be supporting Cruz.

This is the momentum Ted Cruz is continuing to see in his campaign. Not only has he gained momentum in Wisconsin with two consecutive polls of leading by 10 points, but what we’re seeing in North Dakota goes to show he’s gaining support across the nation.

In a statement, Cruz said the following:

I’m thrilled to have the vote of confidence of Republican voters in North Dakota who delivered such a resounding victory today. As I met them over the weekend, North Dakota Republicans recognized that I am the only candidate who can move this country forward by protecting freedom and liberty. Whether we defeat Donald Trump before the convention or at it, I’m energized to have the support of the vast majority of North Dakota delegates.

This is still far from over, as Trump still has to win over 500 delegates to clinch the nomination. Assuming Cruz wins Wisconsin based on the polling, this increases the chances of a contested convention, which could be an advantage for Cruz.
