On Thursday morning, President Donald Trump stated it “would be better” to cancel an upcoming meeting with Mexico’s President Enrique Nieto if they don’t pay for the wall at the southern border.
This comes in response to Nieto saying Mexico will not pay for the wall.
And it isn’t the first time Mexico stated they wouldn’t pay for it. Former Mexico President Vicente Fox tweeted his refusal to back the wall.
TRUMP, when will you understand that I am not paying for that fucken wall. Be clear with US tax payers. They will pay for it.

There is also the claim that U.S. taxpayers may actually pay for the wall initially and get reimbursed for it.
From the Daily Caller.
In an interview to air Thursday evening, Donald Trump hinted to ABC’s David Muir that American taxpayers will initially pay for the United States’ border wall with Mexico.
“So they’ll pay us back?” Muir pressed onward. “So the American taxpayer will pay for the wall at first?”
“All it is is we’ll be reimbursed at a later date from whatever transaction we make from Mexico,” Trump reiterated.
Time will tell to see if the two leaders will meet or not. In a tug of war, Mexico doesn’t want to pay for the wall while Trump keeps insisting they will.
