The last eight years under Barack Obama have been hell. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson brings normalcy back to America.
From the time I was a little kid until now, I don’t remember any tradition where we highlighted Ramadan and discarded our traditional celebrations. I think Tillerson’s decision to not host a Ramadan event is fair. Does the State Department host Easter?
When Muslims stop killing people during “the holy month of Ramadan” then maybe it would be appropriate to revisit having the State Dept host something, but even then I say no.
Muslims are so offended by our religious celebrations they should not expect us to help them celebrate theirs. After the last eight years, I thought America was lost. So great to see people with spines reject the lie that is Islam stand up and say no. The great Tony Montana once said “the only thing that gives orders in this world is balls” and every day now it seems they prove America got it’s balls back.
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has declined a request to host an event to mark Islam’s holy month of Ramadan, two U.S. officials said, apparently breaking with a bipartisan tradition in place with few exceptions for nearly 20 years.
“We are still exploring possible options for observance of Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the month of Ramadan. U.S. ambassadors are encouraged to celebrate Ramadan through a variety of activities, which are held annually at missions around the world.
Tillerson issued a statement on Friday to mark the start of Ramadan, which he called “a month of reverence, generosity, and self-reflection.”
“Most importantly, it is a cherished time for family and friends to gather and give charity to those who are less fortunate,” he said.
The world is preparing for the bloodshed that marks this Islamic ‘holiday.’ Good for Rex for refusing to host a ‘celebratory dinner.’ Celebrating WHAT, you may ask? Bloodshed of innocents?
