Donald Trump Jr was answering a question from the Fox and Friends panel that Sen. Bob Corker had called Pres. Trump’s base cult-like.
More Republicans should be defending Trump’s conservative decisions because it’s what they’ve been asking to do for years. I am not sure who Corker is speaking about because, in Washington, I’ve seen more pitfalls and sabotages from Republican leadership when it comes to Pres. Trump.
I understand Trump Jr was trying to make a funny but when you are dealing with mindless voters in this nation who do not think for themselves words are important and they matter.

Then there are followers. These are the one who will accept anything and everything and excuse and defend wrong decisions by the Commander-in-chief. When Barack Obama sat in the Oval Office, these followers were called Obamabots.
Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) was the one to use the term to refer to Trumpism, and it received a great deal of criticism, including from Junior.
“I think that’s ridiculous,” he said, but then added, “You know what? If it’s a cult, it’s because they like what my father’s doing.”
Oh. That’s uh… not disavowing the idea that it might be a bit of a cult.
“You see actual Americans actually winning for a change,” Don Jr. continued, echoing the sentiments – and the exact words – of his father.
“Americans want to see someone who’s actually going to have conviction,” he later added. “They want someone who’s going to be like my father, and fight, and actually want to win.”
I have mentioned on my show how I believe there are two forms of Trump backers, supporters, and followers. Supporters, I think are those who will back and defend Pres. Trump but also hold him to his ideas and promises he made during the election. They want to see progress, and if he shifts toward anything close to the establishment, they will let him know he’s off-key.
I am not part of and never signed on to a cult. I am an American who believes Pres. Trump is the best person to fix the economy and straighten out what was messed up. I do not fall in the line of agreeing with everything, and I don’t care whether I am liked or not. I am not here to become super popular on Twitter or Facebook; I am here to support the right calls and call out the bad ones. As long as Americans win, I am happy.
I don’t like the name “cult” and agreeing with someone to make a joke is not what I call funny. Trump Jr should have crafted his answer better. What are your thoughts?
